what to do, what to do

I have a climber. Noah has been a climber since he could pull himself up (around 6 months) and I swear he about kills himself just about every day. We are trying to transition him into the toddler bed so Eli can have the crib soon...and since Noah has started trying to figure out how to climb out we figured it was time anyway. So today he napped in his bed and when I heard him playing I went in to get him and found him ON TOP of his dresser. He had used the drawers to make a ladder.

Then while I was cooking dinner I turned around to see him ON TOP of my kitchen counter. He had climbed one of the bar stools to get up there. We live in a condo, and don't have an area for a table so we eat at the counter, so getting ride of the bar stools is really not an option.

I just don't know how to keep him from climbing on things! He already climbs baby gates (or just takes them down since he figured that one out months ago), so gating things off doesn't work. He is most definitely all boy.

Phew, I wish I knew....DS was really not a climber..I think he was over 2 before he even tried to get on the couch! hahaha! But DD, phew, she's a whole new story, so I'll be asking for YOUR advice in a couple months I'm guessing. I'll tell ya, when she comes with DS to Little Gym, she keeps me on my toes!!!!!!

I thought it was just Grandpa who couldn't keep up with him. That young man is a firecracker; rough and tumble, able to walk off bumps and bruises and not bound by mortal limitations. Yet Noah has the most gentle disposition; kind, caring, compassionate and the dog always eats first! He has the total package, Mommy!
