6 weeks

Well Noah is 6 weeks this week and doing awesome!  He is 10 lbs and 22 inches long so he is growing like a weed.  He has been a great sleeper from the start, but this past week he has been sleeping through the night (7.5 to 8.5 hours!).  I am loving that of course!  We have started working a little on a schedule but I think he is ready for me to push it a little more so we will be starting to work on that after Brandon heads back to NY.  Noah has been smiling for a few weeks but is starting to "talk" a lot more and even trying to laugh which is of course adorable.

Last night Noah got to meet Eden, some friends of ours little girl who is a week younger than Noah.  They were both a little sleepy but Noah seemed to enjoy watching another baby.

Noah's first Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas with Noah!  Brandon surprised me by coming home a day early with my Christmas present...a new car!  Mine was having some problems and was really not safe to drive with our little guy anymore.

Christmas morning we went to my parents, then we spent the afternoon with Brandon's family.  It was so much more fun to celebrate with a baby!

He started smiling!

Of course he stops as soon as I get the camera out...but here are a few I have been able to catch on film.

One month!

I cannot believe that Noah is already a month old!  He is getting bigger...his newborn outfits are getting tight and he is starting to fit into the 0-3 month size.  He has also been testing out his voice a little, and he has started smiling, but they are not often yet, and I work hard to entertain him enough to get one out of him!  I have yet to catch one on camera...but will post a picture of one as soon as I get one.  For now here are a few pictures at one month!

3 weeks old already!

Noah was 3 weeks old as of yesterday!  He is about 8 and a half lbs now.  I can hardly believe just how quickly he is growing and changing.  We are pretty set in our schedule now, which I have been told I am very lucky for!  He usually goes to bed around 8pm and gets up twice during the night and then is up between 8-9am, and naps for a few hours around 1 or 2 in the afternoon.  So I have started getting more sleep (finally!), although I get a lot less done around the house with him being awake much more.  Last night he has his longest stretch of sleep at 5 hours and 40 minutes, he got up to eat then slept for another 4 and a half!  And I am sure all moms say this about their kids but he is such a sweet baby.  Sorry I don't have any new pictures but I am having troubles with my camera's USB cord.

2.5 weeks

Noah is growing fast!  He is such a wonderful baby and has a very sweet disposition.  Louie is still very curious about Noah.  Wherever Noah is, you can bet Louie is right there staring at him.  He knows he is not allowed to touch Noah, but will rest his face on the couch as close to Noah as he can get and just watch him.  It is very cute!

Noah had his 2 week check up this week and was weighing in at 8lbs 1.5oz and (still) 20 inches long.  They said he is averaging a little over an ounce a day, so He should be over 9 lbs by the time Brandon gets home from New York!  Maybe he will finally fit into some of his clothes here soon!

Getting ready for the big day

Well I now have 14 and a half hours before my induction!  I am very excited and have been very busy this weekend.  I have my bags all ready, everything is washed and clean for Noah, and I have the house fairly in order.  Now I just have to try and get a little sleep, and with all the excitement I think that will be difficult!

Also, I just got off the phone with Brandon and he has just passed the worse of the snow.  He has one more patch to drive through by the looks of the radar, but should be easier than what he has already driven through.  The snow did slow him down quite a bit, so he may need to pull over and rest for awhile, but he should make it home early in the morning at the very latest (or course I am hoping he will be able to get home without stopping so I don't have to worry longer than I have too).  Thanks for your continued prayers, and I should be updating as soon as I can with pictures of our new little guy!

Monday is on

Well I talked with Brandon this afternoon and we are set for the induction on Monday.  He will be home very very late Sunday (or early Monday morning) but he will be there.  This is a huge relief for us as we were starting to worry he would miss the birth.  Unfortunately he may have to go back later in the week.  But we will enjoy the time we have as a new family together and Brandon will at least be home by Thanksgiving (and by then he should be home for good!).  We do have a few prayer request for you.

1.  Please pray that Brandon has good weather for his drive home and is able to make it with no delays
2.  That we have a smooth delivery and Noah is delivered happy and healthy
3.  Finally pray that I am able to handle this on my own for a few days if Brandon has to leave for work again.

We are both so excited about for Monday and I will try to update as soon as I can after his arrival (with pictures of course).

Big news!!!

Well we have an eviction date for Noah.  Next Monday, the 17th I will be induced.  I had some symptoms of toxemia so I think that will be the date.  We went a head and scheduled the induction, however, Brandon left this morning for the New York/Pennsylvania area to work.  We will find out tomorrow if he will be able to be home by Monday.  If so we will have our little guy then, and if not we will reschedule it for the following week.  Please pray that Brandon can get his job done and be home by the 17th!!!

Brandon's trip

Every year Brandon goes away for about a week to hunt and camp with one of his friends.  This year however he is going alone, as his friends wife is also expecting and now past due!  He left this afternoon and will not be home until the 9th (unless Noah decides to come this week).  Of course I always worry when he is away, especially when he is hunting, so please send some extra prayers his way this week!
