Reading with Noah

Noah LOVES to listen to me read.  He likes to look and the pictures, and he listens intently to the words.  When I get a book out he starts pumping his legs with excitement.  My camera is broken so I have not been able to update with new pictures, but luckily Aunt Jenn always has her camera ready!  So here are a few pictures she took of me reading to Noah.

Prayer Request!!!

A friend of mine, who is pregnant with twin boys, had her water break this morning.  She is in her 33rd week of her pregnancy.  Please keep her (Kate) in your prayers today, as she has been having issues with pre-eclampsia, and pray that her boys will be born healthy and strong!

Checkup

The appointment went well.  Noah is 13lbs 8oz (on the small side) and 25 inches, which is a little larger than average.  The doc talked about starting him on solids.  We will be introducing one new food a week, and keep him on cereal everyday too.

Regarding our nap issue...she said that he may just not be a good napper.  He is sleeping well at night so she isn't that concerned, but said that we should continue to give him quiet time in his room everyday for as long as he will stay down.  But she did check his ears and gums and everything looked good.

4 months today!

Noah is 4 months old!  I cannot believe how fast he is growing.  We go for shots and his checkup tomorrow afternoon.  There are several things I need to remember to ask the doctor.  First, Noah does not nap.  He gets maybe a total of 45 minutes of "naptime" in during the day.  If I lay him in his crib he will play for 30 minutes or so before getting too bored and crying.  The only way I can get him to actually fall asleep during the day is if we are driving in the car.  But he is still a great sleeper at night, so I can't complain too much.  The doctor will also be checking how his flat spot is doing, and I need to ask about his spitting up.  Anyway, I will update when we get home.

Rolling over

Noah started really trying to roll over several weeks ago.  He has been able to get to his side for awhile, but just finally figured out how to get all the way over.  He is on my kitchen counter here...and because someone on myspace said something to me about it I will add...I DO NOT leave him sitting on the counter when I am not right there!  It is not like I set up the tripod and went shopping.  He is always supervised, even when he is not on the counter.  Also (again, someone felt the need to tell me) I realize he has a flat spot, well more like an entire flat head...he was born that way, as a result of dropping too early and resting his head on my pelvic bone (which was probably as uncomfortable for him as it was for me).  So, we are taking appropriate measures to correct it.  Anyway, here is the video...

Peek-A-Boo

This is Noah's new favorite form of entertainment.  I can't decided if he thinks the game is fun, or if is just funny watching mommy acting like a fool.  Either way...it keeps him happy!

More pictures from NY

This was taken on the airplane...Noah was a great flyer!
This is the only family picture we took!
Noah got very excited about this particular fish.
Here he is watching the seals swimming with his Daddy.
