overdue updates

My computer needed a new power cord, so I was out of commission for awhile, but we are back up and running with lots of updates!

Noah had his 9 month well baby check.  He was just over 19 lbs and almost 28 inches.  They did a lead check on him and his levels came back elevated.  They like the levels to be under 5 and his was nearly 7, meaning he was somehow getting exposed to lead.  Brandon used to make bullets in the house (yes, very redneck of us) so we figured the lead must have been in the carpet.  Thus, I got new flooring!  Brandon laid the new laminate (fake wood) last week.  While he was laying it Noah and I stayed out in Riverside with his parents.  It was a very rough week for us, as Noah got Roseola and cut his first tooth!  He had a fever for 5 days, but is now doing much much better!  He does still have the rash, which comes at the end of the virus, but that means that he is at the tail end of it.

Noah is now getting his second tooth so it has been a big week for us!  I will leave you with some new Noah pictures.  He was so so sick in these but he still tried so hard to be happy.

A boy and his dog

Noah LOVES his pup.  When he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he does is find Louie and give him snuggles.  After naps...same thing, and the two of them get into all sorts of trouble.  At dinner, Noah sneaks Louie food off his place, and lately Louie has decided to return the favor by bringing Noah pieces of kibble to share (hopefully I have caught it every time!).  Louie also brings Noah toys to play with...they are two of a kind!

Overdue pictures

I have been meaning to get some new pictures of Noah up for a few weeks...so here they are!  He is doing great, getting into everything, and working on walking already!

Here is Noah using his activity center as a bench

Just look at those big eyes!

Trying to reach his buddy Louie (who is not supposed to be on the couch)

Officially old.

We got a mini van yesterday!  I feel old.  It is really nice though, and we were able to trade in the Rav4 for what we paid for it, so we didn't lose any money on it!  It is a 2006, is red, and has stow and go so it has a lot of space to store diapers and toys without cluttering up the van.  Anyway, this is not a picture of ours, but it is the same year and color, so ours looks identical to this one :)

Video link

This is just a neat video I wanted to share.  A friend of mine posted it on facebook and I just loved the message.

The news is out

Well apparently everyone knew already (thanks to my hubby and his big fat mouth) but now it is "official"...we are expecting another baby!  We had an ultrasound this morning and baby was measuring at 8w5d.  We have chosen names already, so Eli Charles for a little boy, and Grace Elizabeth for a girl.  While we are still in a state of shock, we feel very blessed to be here again!

Fishing at the lake

We took Noah fishing today (well Brandon fished while me and Noah relaxed on a big sheet).  Noah loves being outdoors, so he had a great time.  We didn't catch anything, but enjoyed the sunshine.

4th of July

Despite being cold and rainy, we had a pretty good 4th (Noah's first!).  The parade was rained out, but we went to Brandon's parents for a BBQ, and then went to the fireworks.  Noah did awesome staying up so late and he loved watching the fireworks.  He got a little fussy towards the end, but he did stay up 2 hours past bedtime so that was expected.
