And what a month it's been! We got off to a rocky start with Noah and Eli getting sick, and Isaiah's poor weight gain, but his first month ended pretty good!
Isaiah had gotten down to 5 lbs 4 oz, and wasn't gaining as quickly as they'd like. By his 2 week check up he had made it back up to 5 lbs 11oz, which was still a half pound under birth weight. I think the final count for Isaiah's trips into the doctor/hospital for his weight issues was 8 trips in the first month!
Yesterday he had his FINAL weight check and was a whopping 6 lbs and 15 oz, so little man is finally on the right track.
While he still looks like a teeny tiny newborn, he has still changed quite a bit this past month. His cheeks are starting to fill out, and he's definitely getting longer. He's still a sleepy guy, but he is having more alert times. He is sleeping pretty well at night. He just wakes up once, but is a night owl (like Noah) and usually doesn't go down for bed until close to midnight.
So that's that! We are looking forward to his first Christmas in a few days! And excited to see what the next month brings. Hopefully we will see his first social smile, and maybe his first coo in his second month :)

HAHA!
So I just realized in my last post I wrote "as suggested by our laceration consultant"...which should be lactation consultant. That's what lack of sleep will do to your brain :)

Update
Isaiah is 2 weeks old, and 2 days now! ANd it's been a crazy two weeks!
We brought Isaiah home the Sunday after he was born. Monday Noah went in to the doctor for pink eye, Tuesday we did some pictures of him and the boys, Wednesday the home nurse came out and did his check up and we found he had lost too much weight, and Eli started getting sick. Friday and Saturday we took him to the hospital for weight checks, and Noah got sick with a high fever. Monday Noah went in for his fever, and Isaiah had another weight check, tuesday Noah's fever spiked over 105 and I spent the day feeding Isaiah, and trying to get/keep Noah's fever down. Wednesday Noah's fever broke, and Thursday it was back...then Friday Noah went back in for the fever and we found a new ear infection, and Isaiah had his two week check up. SO...as you see...we've been pretty busy the past few weeks!
Isaiah is doing well overall. He is not gaining weight as quickly as the typical newborn does, but he's well hydrated, having lots (and lots!) of wet and poopy diapers and seems to be eating well. So for now, we will just keep doing what we are doing and taking him for frequent check ups (he goes back Tuesday for his next check up). He is a very sleepy little guy and he just won't wake up to eat unless he decides he is ready. We have tried everything to wake him up, but he just won't cooperate, and if I do manage to wake him up, he only nurses a few minute before falling back to sleep (unless it was his idea to eat). He will take a bottle sleepy, but we don't' like offering him a bottle until after he nurses well (as suggested by our laceration consultant).
So...that's what's going on in our household!

Isaiah is here!
And in case your wondering what the cutest baby in town looks like...here he is!
And what a peanut he is! This little guy was 6 lb, 2 oz and just 19inches long. (if your curious, Noah was 7 lb 7 oz, and Eli was 8 lb, 8 oz)

38 weeks
Another appt. Baby looked good, momma looked as good as she can for 9 months pregnant, and all in all it was another typical appt. I'm progressing, bp was higher again, weight gain still at 19lbs, and belly measured at 37 weeks.
And the countdown has begun...there is an end in sight and that end is less than two weeks away! So stay tuned...

Halloween!
We had a blast again this year. We got to take the boys out with all my nieces which was really fun, and we had tons and tons of trick or treaters again! I don't think we had quite as many as last year, but we had over 400 pieces of candy and ran out :) (we were giving them each 2 pieces, so I imagine we had a little over 200 kids). Here are a few pictures (in random order) of pumpkin carving and Halloween night! The first pic is of me in my "costume". I asked brandon to bring home some sort of animal ear (I was thinking bunny, cat, mouse or something) and he brought home devil horns. I have always hated devil costumes so I just told everyone I was a red bull :)

You guessed it...another boring check up post :P
Headed to the doc again yesterday. 37 weeks, which happens to officially make me FULL TERM! While that means little to Isaiah, it means I can spend the next 3 weeks wondering why he's still hanging out in there, when he is good and baked already.
So anyway, I had another boring checkup. Up to 19lbs now. They say the last month your weight levels off and you stop gaining so much, but after hearing I was only up 17lbs total last week I went on a cinnamon roll and halloween candy binge. And while I don't exactly mind gaining weight, I'm feeling slightly guilty knowing he's probably in there all hopped up on sugar. My blood pressure was freakishly amazing for my end of pregnancy normal (which is usually high!) and my belly measured at 36 weeks...also very normal for me (I always measure 1-2 weeks behind and have with all the kiddos).
It was also wonderful to, yet again, go in alone (thanks Brooke!). Last week I was brave and decided to take the boys along and while they were perfect angels for me in the waiting room, all hell broke lose when we got called back. Noah flipped his lid when I gave a urine sample, and he insisted it was juice that he should be allowed to drink, and had a meltdown when I refused to let him have it, Eli threw raisins all over the room and while I was picking them up I realized that while I thought I was throwing them in the trash, I was in fact throwing them in the laundry bin, and Eli got into some drawer and pulled out one of those long sticks they use to do pap smears and threw the mother of all fits when I refused to let him brush his teeth with it. Hmmm...maybe that's why my blood pressure was so much higher last week...
