Getting things done!

I have felt great these past few days. Last night was a bit rough with Noah teething again, but the week prior I slept well and have had tons of energy. So I am using this extra energy to get a few things done around the house. Last week our dryer died on us so we had been backed up with laundry. Brandon found me a really nice used one a friend of a friend was selling (much much nicer than our old one...and even nicer than the new one we were going to get!). So this weekend I got all caught up with laundry. Today I got Noah's carseat cleaned, and replaced batteries in Noah's car mirror (it plays music and lights up), and installed one for Eli. I also stocked up on Noah's diapers which were running low, so I should be set for both boys for at least a few weeks after Eli comes. I did have a shock to my system when I bought a large box for each boy...diapers are outrageous and it is going to bankrupt us having 2 in them! I spent $90 on diapers that will only last maybe a month (if I am lucky!).

Aside from the extra things I am getting done around the house, Brandon informed me that he paid off his truck this week! That was one of our larger expenses every month and am so proud of him for getting it paid off (it still had another 15 months of payments). He has been working non stop the last few weeks and used some of the extra income we (well he) made to get it paid. It's always nice to have one less bill to have to pay each month.

That's about all that's new with us. Noah is still working on his 4 molars. One is pretty much all in, another has broke through, and the bottom two are taking their sweet time. If they don't hurry up I am going to be in for it when Eli comes. Between nigh time feedings and teeth troubles I don't know if there will be any time left for sleep!

It's nice to hear you're feeling so well!! Is Noah's car mirror a thing you put in above his car seat so you can check up on him? I keep telling Mike we need a mirror for Nolan, I always worry not being able to see him in the back seat, especially since i bundle him up so snugly, I always worry about him smothering (ahh, mom paranoia).

Sorry about the diapers, if you were feeling brave (and had enough money to make a bit of an investment) you could try cloth diapers... like I said they are a bit of an investment initially but a lot cheaper in the long run, and they are a lot less work than people make them out to be. Just a thought...

And big congrats on getting the truck paid off! Brandon deserves a pat on the back and maybe some cookies!! Seriously though, that is really great.

Hope Noah's molars come in really soon and he can start feeling better soon!!

Mandy the car mirror thing is a fisher price, and some play music and light up (really nice for a newborn who can't really see well) and some just play music. It has a parental remote so you can turn it on and off from the front seat. They were about $20 and there are several ways to attach them to the car (for cars with or without headrests in the back). So not only are they entertaining to the kids, but you can see them from the front too :)

Excellent!! Thanks for the info, and sounds like it will work, even in our little Geo metro without head rests!! LOL
