Noah is 6 months today! I took him in for his checkup on Friday and he was 16 lbs (he lost a quarter pound while he was sick) and 26.25 inches long. The doctor again commented on just how strong he is for his age. She thinks that he will be pulling up and walking early, so it is time to do some major childproofing!

Bad to worse
Now Brandon is sick (who is a much bigger baby about it). I just hope I manage not to get it.

Noah...
Has the stomach flu. We just got home from the doctor. He has been throwing up all day, and has been pretty fussy the last few days. Please keep him in your prayers for a quick recovery! Thanks!

Bottoms up!
Noah likes to sleep on his tummy with his fanny in the air. I usually turn him on his back before I go to bed, but he just rolls right back over.

Getting stronger!
Noah can now sit up without the support of his hands! I can't believe how quickly he is growing and changing.

Daddy's boy
So I am the one that gets up with Noah when he gets hungry in the middle of the night, feeds him, changes him (daddy has only done 2 diapers!), takes him for walks, plays with him all day, and still when Daddy gets home Noah wants nothing to do with me! Noah coos a little during the day, and flashes some pretty cute smiles my way but nothing compared to what he gives his Daddy.

In the highchair
We have finally started using our highchair. Noah started on solids pretty early due to his spit-up issues, so we were using the bouncy chair to feed him. Well Noah is now much more interested in turning and trying to look at the little frogs printed on the fabric than eating so it just wasn't working anymore.

Making baby food.
So I have started making Noah's baby food. I actually really enjoy doing it, and feel good about knowing what is in it and how it was made. You would not believe the difference in color between the store bought stuff and freshly made baby food. Tonight I made about a 2 months supply for the freezer for about 8 dollars. Noah's favorite seems to be banana and mango. We have made carrots, peas, mango, banana, sweet potato, apples and pears. I am going to try doing a musk mellon tomorrow. :)

What do you do with a 5 month old?
I know several of you guys reading this have kiddos, and I was wondering what kinds of things you did or do with them around Noah's age. Being a stay at home mom is great...but it can be hard staying cooped up in the house all week. I try to get out and do fun things but am running out of ideas. I have him signed up for baby music classes starting in June, and we like to visit the animals in the pet shop, and I take him for walks everyday. I wish it would warm up here, but it is still a little to chilly most days to stay outside for long periods of time. So any ideas?
